Clinical hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that combines hypnosis techniques (guided relaxation, focused attention, and suggestive imagery) with psychological principles to address a wide range of issues and challenges. Clinical hypnotherapy utilizes the altered state of consciousness to provide therapeutic interventions. It aims to tap into the subconscious mind to facilitate positive changes, enhance relaxation, manage stress, overcome limiting beliefs, and address various emotional and behavioural issues. With that, hypnotherapy can also have a profound impact on many health conditions and symptoms, including pain, insomnia, high blood pressure, asthma, impotency, menstrual disorders, ulcers, addiction, and more.

Contraindications:

A safe and nurturing space is created to allow the client a receptive atmosphere for their own healing process. The recipient lies comfortably on a massage bed, covered with a blanket.

The Reiki practitioner's hands will be placed gently on or over the body's chakras and meridians. The practitioner acts as a conduit, which allows the healing life force energy to flow through them and their hands.

Reiki energy is drawn, easing out any physical or emotional blocks that prevent the movement of high vibrational energy to flow freely through our bodies. A session allows the recipient to connect with their own innate ability to heal.

Crystal healing:
The energetic frequency of crystals are among the highest vibrational frequencies on earth. Our universe runs on the law of attraction, with similar frequencies being drawn to each other. In the presence of an extremely high vibrational being, such as a crystal, your energetic state will shift to match that of the crystal.

Seven different crystals will be chosen and placed over each chakra, emitting their high, healing vibes throughout the treatment room.

Caring for people is my passion and one of the greatest callings life has to offer.  I have a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with extensive experience assisting patients as they cope with obvious and invisible injuries. I have been in the health care field for over 25 years, with a prior career as a Critical Care Paramedic, and have been there for those in desperate medical, psychological or traumatic situations, delivered beautiful babies in vehicles parked along the side of the road, and administered care in such odd locations as on a domestic airliner at 30,000 feet or when flying emergency medevacs over Arabian desertscapes. I know full well how to care for those in true crisis but have also witnessed so many more whose illnesses and injuries could be traced back to their treatment of the body as a whole, whether through their diet, fitness levels, or neglect. As my career has evolved, so has my focus, which has shifted to helping a greater number of people early on to prevent minor issues from evolving into larger and costlier illnesses.  In my practice I have found a niche offering by pairing these strengths in emergency care and women’s health with the respected skills and techniques from top practitioners in oriental medicine. All care is focused on returning the body, mind, and spirit to a whole.

My academic preparation closely incorporates oriental medicine with Western healthcare. My passions build on natural strengths in highly stressful complex interactions, care management, and treatment of anxiety, depression and PTSD – particularly amongst Armed Forces and Emergency Services personnel. Within North America and the Middle East I have enjoyed a long standing career as a respected clinician, clinical educator, fire and emergency medical dispatcher.  I hold active licensure with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAA) and the California Acupuncture Board.  I am a past Board Director with the Alberta Pain Society and a present member of the CAA Competence Committee.
