Leanne has an extensive background within health and wellness spanning nearly two decades. Fueled by a deep curiosity to understand people, the body and this human experience, her career has been an ever-evolving journey. Beginning with Kinesiology and then Nursing, she gained experience within metabolic and neurological disorders, obstetrics and women’s health, as well as adult and pediatric mental health. Although Nursing afforded her many valuable skills and opportunities, there was always a deep sense that something was missing. For years she felt naturally drawn to Eastern philosophy and energy-based healing modalities. It was ultimately within this realm that she experienced the greatest success within her own health and wellbeing. Inspired by her personal experiences and wanting to share these practices with others, she completed the Diploma in Acupuncture, including a 700-hour residency, at the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Two deeply held beliefs guide Leanne’s approach in the treatment room. The first being that our internal world and personal experience is deeply connected to and impacted by the external world, and that the influence of each upon the other cannot be separated. The second is belief in the innate power of the body to heal itself. Understanding and embodying these principles have been some of her most powerful learnings. Supporting patients to explore this and build capacity to prevent or minimize health concerns is a key goal within her treatment plans. Through building meaningful relationships with her patients and applying a multi-facetted approach, she provides deeply restorative treatments to rebalance the body, mind and spirit. Treatment plans not only alleviate symptoms but also uncover and address the root of imbalance. She empowers patients with knowledge and tools to create lasting change and support their health and wellbeing far beyond the treatment room.
Leanne’s unique background and expertise supports her in addressing a variety of concerns including mental and emotional health, digestive disorders, energy levels, insomnia and sleep health and women’s health. Leanne has a keen ability to work with adolescent patients to support menstrual cycle regulation and emotional wellbeing. She also has a strong interest in supporting fertility and has already completed additional Advance Fertility Training through FAWN (Fertility as a Way Network).
To foster harmony in her own life, Leanne enjoys reading, mountain biking, soaking up the sun and any excuse to snuggle with her bulldog Georgia.

Shannon has a background in Psychology, is certified in Holistic Nutrition, has completed her level III Reiki training, and is on her way to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist as well. She uses this combination to form a multi-disciplinary approach to help her clients achieve holistic health, with an emphasis on mental health.
Mental Health is becoming increasingly important to prioritize as stress levels and mental health concerns continue to rise. Having struggled with her own mental health in the past, she has experienced this firsthand and continues to explore and learn new ways to practice self-care. This has led to a passion for helping people in supporting their mental health, ADHD, nervous system, gut, and hormone regulation.
Shannon believes that pain and other bodily symptoms, whether it be physical or mental, has a root cause and she uses this as a guide when treating her clients. With that in mind, she found a passion in nutrition and fell in love with Reiki. She believes that it is a powerful healing practice that is beneficial to everyone, always.
Shannon’s ultimate goal is to draw from her personal experience as well as her education to offer support and make a positive impact in the wellbeing of others. By cutting through the noise of what works and what doesn’t, she is able to provide her clients with effective tools and resources to help them help themselves more efficiently, whether that be through Reiki, Nutrition, or a combination of both.
In her nutrition practice, Shannon’s plans are tailored to each client as an individual. She understands that a cookie-cutter approach to nutrition is not realistic or effective for many people, especially those with mental health concerns.
Shannon’s priority is providing a safe space for you so that you can fully relax and let go. This means your time with her will be free of judgment, and full of kindness and support. Shannon genuinely looks forward to meeting you, and to learning from each other in her sessions with you.

Caring for people is my passion and one of the greatest callings life has to offer. I have a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with extensive experience assisting patients as they cope with obvious and invisible injuries. I have been in the health care field for over 25 years, with a prior career as a Critical Care Paramedic, and have been there for those in desperate medical, psychological or traumatic situations, delivered beautiful babies in vehicles parked along the side of the road, and administered care in such odd locations as on a domestic airliner at 30,000 feet or when flying emergency medevacs over Arabian desertscapes. I know full well how to care for those in true crisis but have also witnessed so many more whose illnesses and injuries could be traced back to their treatment of the body as a whole, whether through their diet, fitness levels, or neglect. As my career has evolved, so has my focus, which has shifted to helping a greater number of people early on to prevent minor issues from evolving into larger and costlier illnesses. In my practice I have found a niche offering by pairing these strengths in emergency care and women’s health with the respected skills and techniques from top practitioners in oriental medicine. All care is focused on returning the body, mind, and spirit to a whole.
My academic preparation closely incorporates oriental medicine with Western healthcare. My passions build on natural strengths in highly stressful complex interactions, care management, and treatment of anxiety, depression and PTSD – particularly amongst Armed Forces and Emergency Services personnel. Within North America and the Middle East I have enjoyed a long standing career as a respected clinician, clinical educator, fire and emergency medical dispatcher. I hold active licensure with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAA) and the California Acupuncture Board. I am a past Board Director with the Alberta Pain Society and a present member of the CAA Competence Committee.
